For a more elegant affair, visit visitors can enjoy many of Lake Erie’s regional wineries. Mon Ami Restaurant and Winery is touted as one of the oldest wineries in the Lake Erie Islands region and is less than 15 minutes from Lakefront Marina. The Stonehenge Estate on South Bass Island offers a historical perspective on the grape growing farms and family wineries that prospered on the Lake Erie islands in the mid to late 1800’s and Heinemann’s is known as Ohio’s oldest family owned winery since 1888.
